CamNorte resident becomes 68th COVID-19 case in Bicol
The Department of Health Center for Health Development – Bicol reported that the total number of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Region V is now at 68.
One more patient tested positive for the viral disease. She is a close contact of Bicol#61.
“The 68th confirmed case of COVID-19 is a 62-year old Filipino female from Labo, Camarines Norte. Patient is asymptomatic, and was checked at the Camarines Norte Provincial Hospital on May 12, 2020. She is a close contact of patient with local code Bicol#61,” said the department.
Meanwhile, the DOH-CBD urged the public to follow strict protocols and health measures.
“The public is strongly advised to strictly follow community quarantine procedures as well as precautionary measures including proper handwashing, social distancing, cough etiquette, disinfection of commonly used objects, healthy lifestyle and to stay at home,” said the department.
“Everyone’s cooperation is crucial in this time of crisis,” it added.
