Tulungan! Albay gov’t purchases vegetable from local farmers
The provincial government of Albay has brought vegetables from local farmers in order to help those who belong to the vulnerable sector amid this pandemic.
Governor Al Francis Bichara said that thge Albay Provincial Social Welfare Office is now preparing for packs of rice for distribution.
“In our continuous augmentation efforts to bring relief to the most vulnerable people of our community during this Covid-19 crisis, the provincial government of Albay purchased additional supplies of freshly harvested squash, tomatoes and baguio beans from our local farmers,” said the Governor.
“Packs of rice are also being prepared by the Albay Provincial Social Welfare Office,” he added.
Just recently, the province also implemented the Albay Family-Based Food Gardening program
“The program aims to have enough supply of food in every household especially during this time that we are encountering health emergency crisis,” said the Governor.
“Truly, the said program benefited so many Albayanos and of great help to ensure food sufficiency in every household amidst the COVID-19 pandemic,” he added.
