That’s my ate! Albay Vice Gov. Grex Lagman laud’s sisters project for women
Albay Vice Gov. Grex Lagman is proud of his sister Tabaco Mayor Krisel Lagman Luistro’s projects to empower women.
In a Facebook post, Lagman said she has always championed women’s causes, from when she was in the House of Representatives and now as a mayor.
He is glad that the provincial government of Albay has teamed up with her for a livelihood project for women that has them making face masks amid the COVID 19 crisis.
This is expected to provide them with a steady job since the demand for masks is expected to be high at least until the end of the year.
The women are happy with the job that helps the province and helps them make a living at the same time.
He also congratulated the other women leaders who are Albay’s partners in fighting COVID 19.
We can never go wrong with women empowerment!
“My sister Manay Krisel Lagman has always championed women’s causes when she was in Congress and now as mayor of Tabaco City in Albay since 2007.
With the Provincial Government of Albay (PGA) as her partner in giving “mask making” livelihood to the women of Tabaco in these extraordinary times, her various socio-economic advocacies for women will be ensured for the duration of this pandemic. This, because there is a reasonable expectation that there will be local demand for masks at least until the end of the year.
She told me how happy and fulfilled her city’s womenfolk are in making these washable masks. They know that they are at the forefront of this health emergency even as they earn money for themselves and their families.
Congratulations as well to Mayor Lenybelle Ceriola Santos of Malinao and Vice Mayor Dvyn Bañares of Bacacay for being PGA’s valued partners in fighting COVID 19 in Albay!” Lagman posted.
