CamSur Rep. Villafuerte asks DSWD to release 6 months’ worth of pension to senior citizens
Camarines Sur Rep. Luis Raymund “Lray” Villafuerte said that he asked the Department of Social Welfare and Development to release six months’ worth of social pension to senior citizen.
Villafuerte said that he and his son Governor Miguel Villafuerte sought proposed the move in order to help the senior citizen, especially in the face of coronavirus disease.
“Pinakiusap at pinaglaban namin ni Gov Migz Villafuerte na mabigay na ang php 500 na social pension from DSWD na gawin 6 months na , para an total ma receive Ng ating mga senior citizens ngayon panahon Ng Krisis ay php 3000,” said Villafuerte.
“Para din hinde na mahirapan ang ating mga senior citizens , sinigurado namin ni Gov Migz na I bahay bahay na and cash distribution para hinde na lumayo ang atin mga senior citizens,” he added.
Rep. Villafuerte also proposed to other local government units to distribute six months’ worth of pension for senior citizens.
“Bilang author Ng Bayanihan to heal as one act and member Ng oversight commitee , tinulak ko po na LGU na ang mag distribute Ng SOCPEN para mabilis makarating at gawin na 6 months dahil grabe na pangangailangan Ng atin mga mahal na mga senior citizens,” the solon said.
