Gov. Dolor says mass testing for PUIs in Oriental Mindoro to start this week
Oriental Mindoro Governor Humerlito Dolor announced today that there will be a targeted mass testing in the province as confirmed by the Department of Health.
Dolor said that the provincial government, thru the Provincial Health Office, held a teleconference meeting with the Department of Health to discuss the mass testing.
Dolor shared the response of the Health department:
“As per Task Group Response Operations – Operation Plan for COVID-19 Response, the schedule of categorized municipalities/cities (phasing approach) for mass screening:
Category 1: Municipalities/cities with <10 cases Week 1
Schedule of testing of specimens: Category 1: Week 1 April 14-19.
Sir, ang priority po ay mga health workers who cared for the confirmed cases, both the public and private health workers. Testing this week po.”
This means that all persons underinvestigation will undergo test for coronavirus disease.
“Nangangahulugan po na LAHAT ng PUIs sa Oriental Mindoro na kahit naka-home quarantine at wala sa ospital ay kukuhanan na ng specimen sa linggong ito kasama ang mga health workers na nag-alaga sa lahat ng 6 na confirmed COVID-19 cases natin kahit pa sila ay walang ipinakikitang sintomas,said the governor.
“Ganundin po, kasama sa mass testing ang mga nagkaroon ng direktang exposure sa nag-iisa nating COVID-19 positive na nawalan ng buhay (Patient 54 mula sa San Jose, Occidental Mindoro na dito inabutan ng pagbawi ng buhay sa Calapan),” he added.
