COVID-19 cases in Bicol Region now at 19


The Bicol Region has recorded its 19th coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) case today.

The Department of Health Center for Health Development – Bicol reported additional one more case of COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases to nineteen.

“A seventy-four (74) year old, Filipino male from Albay is the nineteenth (19th) COVID-19 case in Bicol Region. He consulted last April 13, 2020 at the Bicol Regional Training and Teaching Hospital due fever and cough,” the DOH said.

The Health department noted that the patients has no travel history and his exposure history is still to be established.

Meanwhile, Department of Health Center for Health Development Bicol orders everyone to stay at home.

“Our home is the safest place for us during this time. While at home, everyone should still practice social distancing, cough etiquette, regular handwashing and disinfection of frequently touched surfaces,” said the department.

“We can flatten the curve of COVID-19 cases if we stop the transmission of the virus, it will be possible if we all stay at home,” it added.
