Palawan barangays get P200K from Capitol for their COVID-19 response

The Palawan provincial government has provided financial assistance to every barangay in the provinceto be spent for their coronavirus diesease 2019 (COVID-19) response.

All barangays in Palawan received P200,000 each from the provincial government led by Governor Jose Ch. Alvarez.

“Mabilis na naipagkaloob ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan sa mga barangay sa Palawan ang financial assistance sa pamamagitan ng Barangay Aid Program na nagkakahalaga ng P200,000,” said the Capitol.

“Ang tulong pinansyal ay gagamitin ng bawat barangay sa pangangailangan ng mga residente nito kaugnay sa krisis na dulot ng COVID-19 na kinakaharap ng bansa ngayon,” it added.

Meanwhile, island municipalities in the province were likewise provided with assistance by the Capitol.

“Mas napabilis din ang pagkakaloob ng ayuda sa mga island municipalities dahil sa pagpapagamit ng personal na aircraft ni Gob. Alvarez sa paghahatid ng tulong,” the provincial government noted.

Ceasar Sammy Magbanua, Chief of Staff of the Office of theGovernor as well as some staff from the Provincial Treasurer’s Office spearheaded the distribution of the financial assistance.
