The Department of Health Center for Health Development-Bicol reported three new recoveries from coronavirus disease yesterday, bringing the total number of recoveries to eight.
“Patients with local codes Bicol#1(PH766), Bicol#10, and Bicol#13 are the new recoveries [yesterday] after testing negative for COVID-19. All three (3) patients are from Albay and are now discharged,” the DOH Bicol reported.
Meanwhile, the Health department confirmed one additional coronavirus disease case yesterday.
“Bicol Region has one new confirmed case of COVID-19. The total number of COVID-19 positive recorded in the Bicol is now at fourteen, while recorded death remains at one,” said the department.
The 14th confirmed case in Bicol Region is a 66-year old Filipino female from Albay.
She has a travel history from Quezon City, and is currently admitted at the Bicol Regional Training and Teaching Hospital. She remains under stable condition.
On the other hand, DOH Bicol reported that the region as of April 8, has 32 Persons Under Investigation (PUIs) awaiting results after fourteen (14) new PUIs were recorded yesterday.
The total number of PUIs recorded in Bicol is now at 141, 95 of them tested negative for COVID-19.
“With the extension of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) until April 30, 2020, the public is urged to continuously follow the guidelines of the government. DOH Bicol advises the public to follow strictly the enhanced community quarantine procedures. Do not be complacent with recoveries. The curve has not yet flattened. Be vigilant, stay at home and follow the preventive measures against COVID-19,” said the department.
