PSCO donates P1M to Sorsogon Provincial Hospital


The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) released a financial assistance worth P1 million pesos to Sorsogon Provincial Hospital.

Sorsogon Governor Francis Chiz Escudero personally received the financial donatio in behalf of the hospital’s management to be used for COVID-19 public health emergency.

Ms. Nelly Loyola, PCSO Sorsogon Branch Manager turned-over the check to Governor Escudero.

“The assistance shall be utilized for procuring test kits, reagents, medical/diagnostic equipment, personal protective equipment, medicines and cover the cost of laboratory/diagnostic procedure and confinement of the COVID-19 patients,” said the Capitol.

Meanwhile, Escudero said that he signed another executive order in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Signed an EO that provides for temporary lockdown of brgy w/ a COVID-19 case; immediate contact-tracing, mandatory mass quarantining of all w contact; disinfection/info dissemination/Vitamin C to all brgy residents & handling of COVID-19 cadaver,” said Escudero.
