CamNorte Rep. Tallado to donate a month’s salary for COVID-19 response

Camarines Norte Rep. Josie Tallado joined her colleagues at the House of Representatives in donating their salaries for a month for the fight against the coronavirus disease.

Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano that the lower chamber is aiming to raise at least P50 million to be allocated for various purposes in connection with the coronavirus disease.

“Ido-donate ng mga kongresista ang kanilang suweldo sa susunod na buwan ng Mayo, upang mapondohan ang iba pang pangangailangan sa paglaban ng gobyerno sa COVID-19,” said Tallado.

“Sinabi ni House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano na P50 milyon ang kanilang inisyal na target na malikom kung kaya’t mahigit 200 kongresista ang magdo-donate ng kanilang isang buwang sweldo sa Mayo para sa mga ikinakasang hakbang ng gobyerno laban sa COVID-19,” she added.

Tallado pledge to donate her salary for the month of May as her personal contribution to the fight against the highly contagious coronavirus disease.

“Bigay na natn sa mga nangangailangan, basta kung saan tayo makakatulong gagawin po natin ito at para maipamigay na agad yung para sa tao”, Tallado said.

Meanwhile, Tallado likewise sent relief packs to other frontliners in Camarines Norte such as rice, sugar and coffee as way of recognizing their contribution in containing the virus.
