VP Leni Robredo shares heartwarming stories of generosity amid the COVID 19 crisis
Vice President Leni Robredo’s operation to help the volunteers fighting the COVID 19 crisis is getting by through the kindness and generosity of others.
Robredo paid tribute to their efforts by sharing some of their stories on Facebook.
Among those who helped was a newlywed couple who decided to commemorate their second month of marriage by volunteering as conductors in her office’s free shuttle services.
Singer Agot Isidro also volunteered to deliver meals to hospital workers, she said.
She vowed to share more of these acts of kindness and compassion in the coming days to show that we see the best in ourselves during difficult times.
This is the kind of positivity that people want!
“For the past two weeks, we have been operating mainly through the kindness and generosity of our volunteers.
Yesterday, we had a husband-and-wife team who were celebrating their 2nd month as a married couple and decided to commemorate their special day by volunteering as Conductors in our free shuttle services.
Today, Agot Isidro showed up and volunteered to deliver meals to hospital workers. Siya pa mismo ang driver at kargador.
In the coming days, we will share with you stories of acts of kindness and compassion such as these, if only to show that it is really in the most difficult times when we see the best in ourselves,” Robredo posted.
