CamSur Gov. Villafuerte hails barangay officials for strictly implementing quarantine protocols


Camarines Sur Governor Miguel Villafuerte hailed the barangay officials for their efficient implementation of quarantine protocols amid the threat of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Villafuerte thanked the frontliners for their cooperation to ensure that the province remains free from the highly contagious disease.

“I’ve been getting a lot of good feedbacks on our barangay officials for strictly implementing strict quarantin e protocols for people who just came from Metro Manila, following a memorandum we released on March 13, 2020, directing LGUs and barangays to enforce 14-day self-quarantine to all travellers from NCR,” said Villafuerte.

“I would like to say thank you to all! Discipline and everyone’s cooperation definitely make a huge impact on our fight against this virus,” he added.

Villafuerte has also issued today the guidelines and stringent measures for the management and prevention of local transmission of COVID-19 in Camarines Sur.

Camarines Sur remains free from coronavirus disease.

As of this posting, there are 140 confirmed cases of coronavirus disease in the coutry. There are also 12 fatalities so far.
