Camarines Sur Gov. Migz Villafuerte orders councilors who attended Manila convention to go on home quarantine
Camarines Sur councilors who attended the Philippine Councilors’ League convention in Metro Manila from February 26 to 28 are required to undergo mandatory home quarantine, according to Gov. Migz Villafuerte.
Villafuerte, in a Facebook post, said elected officials and public servants are at the forefront of efforts to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus or COVID 19.
This was why they should isolate themselves for now to make sure they won’t spread the virus, in case they have it, in the province.
They should lead by example!
“MANDATORY HOME QUARANTINE FOR ALL CAMARINES SUR COUNCILORS WHO ATTENDED THE PCL CONVENTION ON FEBRUARY 26-28, 2020
As your elected officials and public servants, we are at the forefront of all efforts to contain the spread of the coronavirus. Public officials should always lead by example. Hence, we are directing all councilors in attendance at the PCL Convention to observe mandatory home quarantine for 14 days. This is part of our strict preventive measures against local transmission of COVID-19 in the province,” Villafuerte posted.
