Albay Rep. Joey Salceda lauds Mauban officials for lockdown over COVID 19

For Albay Rep. Joey Salceda, a local official shows care for his or her constituents by putting a popular tourist spot on lockdown to prevent the spread of the coronavirus 19 or COVID 19 disease.

In a Facebook post, Salceda praised the officials of Mauban for the two-week lockdown on Cagbalete Island and other tourism spots.

This will help health personnel and other agencies to monitor and assess the situation in the areas and give them time to lay down long-term plans to protect the town and its people from COVID 19.

Salceda has proposed a lockdown of Metro Manila, but this has been rejected so far.

Will he be able to say I told you so later?

“Here is a Mayor who cares for his people.

The two-week lockdown on Cagbalete Islands and other Mauban tourism spots will help health personnel and other concerned agencies to monitor and assess the local situation and will give time to prepare for a long term plan to protect the municipality and its people from the national treat,” he posted.
