Learning and growing! CamSur Gov. Villafuerte joins meeting with DILG’s Año


Camarines Sur Governor Miguel Villafuerte had a full day yesterday capped with a meeting with Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo Año.

Año met with the Bicol provincial leaders and local executive chiefs to discuss peace and order.

“Full day of events and meetings today! Was in a meeting with DILG Sec. Año and Bicol governors & chief executives where we discussed security, insurgency, road clearing, and current issues in the region and the country,” said the young governor.

“As a young leader, it is always a pleasure for us to be in the presence of other government leaders & officials and be able to learn from each other,” he said.

Villafuerte, who is serving his second term in office, said that “learning and growing never stop.”

Villafuerte also recently convened the CamSur PDRRMC’s checkpoint team leaders to discuss and identify the areas in the province needing additional African Swine Fever (ASF) checkpoints as part of the heightened alert for border control of the province.

“From 14 checkpoint areas in Cabugon, Bombon, and Calabanga, the team will put 16 more checkpoint areas in the municipalities of Cabusao, Del Gallego, Libmanan, Canaman, Pili, Calabanga, San Fernando, and Bato,” said the governor.
