People needing medical assistance in Romblon would be getting a little more care with the impending opening of a Malasakit Center, according to Gov. Otik Riano.
Riano, in a Facebook post, said he endorsed to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan the memorandum of agreement with the Office of the President where the latter would commit to transfer P5 million a month for the center.
The fund would be used for medicines, medical supplies and devices, and support to indigent, vulnerable, and disadvantaged patients.
Riano said that with the council’s approval of the MOA, he would submit the document to Malacanang so that the signature of the executive secretary could be processed.
Romblon is lucky that the national government has decided to give it some malasakit!
God bless the Romblomanons.
May we always remain united,” Riano posted.
