Mayor Panaligan convenes City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council

Calapan City Mayor Arnan Panaligan has presided the meeting of the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council.

The coucil heard updates on preparations and measures to prevent the spread of Corona Virus Disease (Covid 19) and African Swine Fever (for hogs).

Also present during the key meeting was Vice Mayor Gil Ramirez.

“At present, there are no persons under investigation for Covid 19 in Calapan City and we remain ASF free,” Panaligan’s office said.

Task Force Bantay Covid 19 is headed by City Health and Sanitation Officer Dr. Liza Llanto while Task Force Bantay ASF is headed by City Veterinarian Dr. Feby Manglicmot.

Meanwhile, the Socialized Housing Finance Corporation paid P29 million to purchase a lot that will be distributed to the informal settlers in Bgy. Pachoca, Calapan.

The said distribution of property is under the Housing and Settlements under the HOPE or Housing Opportunities Towards People Empowerment Program.

“Community Mortgage Program (CMP) for Hyresville Homeowners Association, the association of informal settlers occupying the Horacio Ylagan property in Bgy. Pachoca,” said the mayor’s office.

“The Socialized Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC) paid the heirs of Horacio Ylagan represented by Robert Francis Ylagan the amount of PhP 29 million to purchase the Ylagan property to be distributed to the informal settlers who will amortize the amount to SHFC,” it adder.
