Albay gov’t extends help to Batangas province
The Provincial Government of Albay has extended help to Batangas province amid the eruption of Taal Volcano.
The Albay Capitol is represented by Gov. Al Bichara, Albay Public Safety and Emergency Management Office-APSEMO chief Dr. Cedric Daep, PSWDO head Dr. Eva Grageda, APAO head Ms. Che Rebeta, Provincial Engineer Dante Baclao and Vice Governor Edcel Grex Lagman.
The Government of Batangas meanwhile is represented by Gov. Hermilando Mandanas and Vice Gov. Mark Leviste.
“Albay provided free tech services that will help PRRMO of Batangas in developing its own water filtration system that can convert tap water (even water from fire hydrants) to potable drinking water and lent out two (2) water trucks/lorries,” Albay VG Lagman said.
“APSEMO will also provide a technical support team to complement the PRRMO of Batangas headed by Mr. Lito Castro,” he added.
Lagman also said that the team of disaster mitigation experts will stay in Batangas for at least two weeks.
