Albay Rep. Fernando Cabredo knows how to use technology to get what his district need.

Cabredo used drones to take photos and videos of the state of the flood control structures on the slopes of Mayon Volcano.

In a Facebook post, Cabredo said he would use these images in his presentation before government officials and stakeholders so that they would be more aware of the situation there and would provide the necessary funding for projects needed to avert disasters in the area.

With the proper visuals, officials would be able to formulate the proper plans to address flooding and other problems.

This shows that drones can be very useful for disaster preparedness!

“With the use of drone technology, we took some photos and videos of the current situations of flood control structures from the slopes of Mayon Volcano in Barangay Maninila towards Barangays Tandarora, San Francisco and Travesia.

The videos and photos shall be used in support to my presentations to government and stakeholders for their awareness and prioritization in the funding considerations to avert any possible devastations that may be caused by flooding in the area.

Video will be posted soon upon completion,” Cabredo posted.
