Orange you glad? Camarines Sur Gov. Migz Villafuerte backs campaign to end VAW
Camarines Sur Gov. Migz Villafuerte has signified his support for the campaign to end violence against women by going orange.
Villafuerte, in a Facebook post, said employees of the provincial capitol tied orange ribbons around their left arm and offered prayers for all victims of violence against women.
This is in line with the Orange the World advocacy, which intends to create a brighter future for women and children by stopping all forms of human rights violation.
He also said the provincial employees led the parade around the capitol complex and also tied orange ribbons around trees.
The 18-day campaign to end violence against women ends on December 12.
Hopefully, the protection of women and children would go beyond that day.
“To show our support to the 18-day Campaign to end Violence Against Women, Capitol employees offered a heartfelt prayer for all victims of VAW and tied orange ribbons on their left arm to show support to the Orange the World advocacy, aiming to create a brighter future for women and children by stopping all forms of human rights violation.
The program ended with an Orange Ribbon parade of Capitol employees within the Capitol Complex, where we tied orange ribbons to the trees along the way. The 18-day Campaign to End Violence Against Women starts today until December 12,” Villafuerte posted.
