Not bitter! Maroon fan and Albay Vice Gov. Grex Lagman congratulates Tigers, asks them to beat Ateneo
Albay Vice Gov. Grex Lagman is a proud maroon, but he congratulated and praised the University of Sto. Tomas for beating his alma mater in a do or die game to make it to the men’s basketball finals.
In a Facebook post, Lagman said UST’s players showed valor, intelligence, and poise, and credited their oragon poach for their victory.
He wished the University of the Philippines better luck next time, though he would have loved to see Kobe Paras make it to the finals just like his father.
Despite the heartbreaking outcome for UP, he is #UPFight forever, he said.
Now, all he wants to see is UST beat the always victorious Ateneo!
“Congratulations, UST! You just survived three knockout games! Your players showcased valor, intelligence and poise. Oragon pa yung coach ninyo! Super well-deserved! Wala akong masabi. 💪🏼
Better luck next time, UP. Ganda sana ng sports headline: “The Son Also Rises After 33 years!” Pero, ok lang… #GoUPFight forever! 😊
Hmmm… ano pa ba? Oh, isa pa pala: #BeatAteneo! 😂,” Lagman posted.
