Two Palawan cooperatives have bagged an award from the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA)-MIMAROPA during the Regional CDA Gawad Parangal 2019.
“Ang mga tumanggap ng pagkilala ay ang Taytay Palawan Municipal Employees Multi Purpose Cooperative (MPC) bilang Outstanding Cooperative in medium category sa pagkamit ng pinakamataas na assets sa buong rehiyon na nasa mahigit P15 Milyon, at ang Western Philippines University (WPU) Credit Cooperative na tinanghal naman bilang 2019 Outstanding Cooperative in large millionaire category,” said the Capitol.

The awarding ceremony was held during the 11th Provincial Cooperative Convention last October 23-24.
“The gawad parangal is a nationwide search for outstanding cooperatives ng Pilipinas. They have to submit ‘yung mga documents na kailangan namin tignan if they have qualified to be awarded as na outstanding cooperative,” said Dir. Villamil.
“And for Palawan we have two, the large and the medium categories. Now we are hoping from MIMAROPA na atleast meron tayong national and we’re praying for that na sana manalo ang ating candidates,” added Dir. Villamil.
