Where’ s the money? Justin Batocabe hopes reward money was used for quest for justice
The family and colleagues of the late Ako Bicol Rep. Rodel Batocabe had expected the reward money for the arrest of his killers to lead to justice for his assassination.
But now it was not clear where the amount had gone, and the House of Representatives is poised to look into the issue.
In a Facebook post, Batocabe’s son Justin thanked his father’s colleagues for helping the family’s quest for justice.
He said the family hopes the money has been put to good use to protect the witness and lead to the prompt resolution of the case.
He also wants to make it clear that as far as the family is concerned, they did not solicit or take charge of the reward money and it was the police who was in charge of handling it.
Let’s hope it was put to good use!
“We thank our friends in Congress for continuously helping us in our fight for justice.
We pray that it was properly used to protect the accused-witnesses and secure a speedy and just resolution of the case. 🙏🏽
PS: We would like to reiterate that our family did not solicit, hold or turnover the reward and as far as i know it was the police that were in charge of its disbursement,” Justin posted on Facebook.
