Palawan Capitol brings information campaign vs illegal drugs in San Vicente town

The Palawan Capitol has recently brought its information campaign against illegal drugs in San Vicente town.

The Capitol recently held Information, Education and Communication IEC Campaign under the Community Enhancement and Livelihood Program for Drugs Surrenderees (CELPDS) in eight San Vicente barangays.

The said barangays are: Poblacion, New Agutaya, Kemdeng, Alimanguan, San Isidro, Sto. Niño, New Canipo and Binga.

Present during the event wererepresentativea from Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) assigned in San Vicente, baranga officials, non-government organizations, religious sector, teachers, and residents.

San Vicente Mayor Amy Alvarez has expressed her support to the said campaign.

“Layon ng CELPDS na mabigyan ng pagkakataon ang mga drug surrenderees na makapagbagong buhay sa komunidad,” the province said.

“Bahagi rin ng programa ang pagbibigay ng impormasyon kaugnay sa masamang epekto ng ipinagbabawal na gamot upang maprotektahan at mailigtas ang mga mamamayan alinsunod na rin sa direktiba ni Gob. Jose Ch. Alvarez,” it added.
