Legazpi Mayor Noel Rosal would have wanted to debut the Sawangan Waterfront Park in time for the Ibalong Festival this year, but city residents would have to wait.

Rosal recently checked up on the progress of the park, and said in a Facebook post that officials are working double time to complete it.

While it won’t be open in time for the festival, he sought to assure residents that it will be worth the wait.

The new park will have a place for senior citizens, a beach volleyball area, a children’s area, interior jogging lanes, and more trees.

Some good things are worth the wait!

“Update…… SA’WANGAN WATERFRONT PARK…. double time na tayo…. Pero di na Ata aabot sa Ibalong Festival 2019…di bale mga kababayan papagandahin lalo natin ito… Senior citizens.. Beach volleyball.. Children’s area… interior jogging lanes…more trees cyempre…at the legazpi boulevard.. . Good am.keep safe,” Rosal posted.
