There’s a time for me, says Marinduque Rep. Lord Velasco
Marinduque Rep. Lord Velasco didn’t get his dream to be House Speaker, at least not yet.
But he is fine with it, Velasco said in an Instagram post.
He shared a photo from the State of the Nation Address and recalled President Duterte’s words that there is a time for everything.
The President earlier said Velasco would have a term-sharing deal with Taguig-Pateros Rep. Alan Peter Cayetano for the speakership.
The lawmaker said his time would come, but in the meantime, he would focus on work so that the 18th Congress would be able to deliver transformational change.
A good performance will only help increase his chances of becoming Speaker!
“Posting some pics from the SONA yesterday! PRRD said that there is a time for everything, I believe that my time will come but for now it’s time to buckle down to work! Let’s hit the ground running and make this 18th Congress an institution that can really deliver transformational change to our fellow countrymen👊🏻 #pagbabago #United18thCongress #duterte,” Velasco posted.
