Head of US-based Calapeño group pays courtesy visit to Mayor Panaligan
The head of group of Calepeños based in the United States has paid a courtesy visit to Calapan City Mayor Arnan Panaligan.
Joey Santos, the president of The Association of Calapenos USA, met Panaligan to turn over his group’s donation to a home for the aged in Calapan.
“Courtesy call to City Mayor Arnan C. Panaligan of Mr. Joey Santos, the president of The Association of Calapenos USA, based in Los Angeles, California,” Panaligan’s office said.
“He turned over a check amounting to $1,000.00 as the donation of the association to the Aruga Home for the Aged,” it added.
According to the mayor’s office, Joey Santos is the brother of ABS-CBN executive Ms. Charo Santos Concio.
“He also finished his elementary schooling in Calapan City during the 1970s,” Panaligan’s office said.
“Joey was accompanied by his wife Helen and children Stephanie and Brian with his friend Marlan. Brian Santos is also an ABS CBN talent.”
