Palawan gov’t urges its medical student scholars to study well
The Palawan provincial government has encouraged its medical students scholars to study well and “give your all.”
The scholars under the Programang Pang-Edukasyon para sa Palaweño (PPP) of the Capitol underwent an orientation last May 29.
The Capitol ensured that they will do its part to support the needs of the scholars and all its asking is for the students to do well in their studies.
“We on the government side, we’ll help you with the tuition fees but it will be more on the individuals who will study in to give your all,” said education program manager Agnes Alarilla.
Engr. Saylito Purisima said that the scholarship program of the Capitol is in line with its plans to built more hospitals in the province.
“Sa kasunduan na lalagdaan ng mga estudyanteng kwalipikado, ang mga iskolar na magiging ganap na doktor ay dapat na magbigay ng kanilang serbisyo sa mga ospital sa mga munisipyo katumbas ng taon na sila ay sinuportahan ng pamahalaang panlalawigan,” said the province.
Alarilla said that the scholarship program is a serious undertaking on the part of the the provincial government.
“This is a very serious undertaking of the government. Therefore, the recipient of this program must reciprocally do seriousness in their studies in order to pass the course within 4 years,” said Alarilla.
