Sixth overall term! Panaligan proclaimed as Calapan City mayor

Mayor Panaligan will be serving his sixth overall term as Calapan City local chief executive after winning the recent polls by default.

Panaligan ran unopposed in the May 13 elections.

“With faith in the Lord and a deep sense of gratitude to the people of the City of Calapan, I humbly accept the new mandate that you have given to me to lead this city for the sixth time,” Panaligan said.

He also thanked all the people who supported and trusted him anew, noting that serving as mayor is a huge responsibility that he is willing to fulfill.

“With your support, we can build a better and more beautiful city that we can be proud of.

“Maraming salamat po sa inyong pagtitiwala at suporta. Ang maglingkod sa inyo bilang City Mayor sa ikaanim na termino ay hindi lamang isang karangalan para sa akin kundi isang mabigat na pananagutan na sisikapin kong magampanan ng buong sigasig at katapatan,” he added.

“Together, let us soar high like an eagle in the pursuit of our dreams and aspirations for our people and our beloved city.”

Panaligan’s runningmate Vice Mayor Gil Ramirez was also reelected in office.
