Albay’s Agri Expo day 2 features seminars, trainings on agriculture practices
The day two of the week-long Agri Expo in Albay Farmers Bounty Village in Cabangan, Camalig, Albay featured simultaneous seminars and trainings on agriculture practices.
“Comprehensive trainings” for Cacao Production, Organic Swine Production, Indian Mango Processing, Pili Shell Craft, Jewelry and Home Décor, as well as Beekeeping and Bee Products Processing were held yesterday.
Governor Al Francis Bichara and Senator Cynthia Villar earlier led the opening ceremony of the Agri Expo as well as to inaugurate the facilities constructed and are now being used as venues for the trainings and seminars.
According to the province, the venues/facilities include the Albay Packaging Center, Farmer’s Auditorium, Farm School, Pili Processing Center, AFBVille Conference Rooms, among others.
Meanwhile, construction is still ongoing for other infrastructure facilities such as the dormitory.
“Aside from the trainings and seminars, the 2nd Bicol Agri Expo also has the Trade Fair where products from all over the province are available for highly affordable prices,” the province said.
“Entrance is free and everyone is invited to come and see what Albay has to offer in the Agriculture sector and the advances it has undergone in the past three years,” it added.
