VP Robredo leads launching of Ahon Laylayan Koalisyon for the Bicol region
Vice President Leni Robredo spearheaded the launching of Ahon Laylayan Koalisyon for the Bicol region last Friday.
Robredo said that she’s “extremely proud” for the launching of the initiative in Naga City, which boasts its “inclusive” local governance.
“Extremely proud to take part at the launch of Ahon Laylayan Koalisyon for the Bicol region, held yesterday in Naga City,” the Vice President said.
“Our city has taken much pride in how our people have become the heart of governance—with a local government that is inclusive and accessible to its citizens,” she added.
Robredo said that the citizen’s participation in local governance is a feat that they want other LGUs to emulate.
“This is a feat we proudly share with others, especially to neighboring towns and provinces, and with the coalition we put in place yesterday, I am hopeful that we will be able to make local governance better for our people,” said the vice president.
In another event, the Robredo also turned over a seawall project to the residents of
Brgy. Palawig in San Andres, Catanduanes.
“Grateful for the warm welcome of the residents of Brgy. Palawig in San Andres, Catanduanes, where we turned over a seawall to protect the community from coastal erosion and other damages due to wave action and storm surge,” said the Vice President.
“The peaceful village lies along a beautiful shoreline that overlooks the sea and provides a glimpse of Mt. Mayon. We hope this will give the community a sense of security and peace, and makes them sleep more soundly at night,” she added.
