Magayon Festival 2019: Albay gov’t holds beauty contest for senior citizens

The province of Albay held a beauty pageant for senior citizens as part of the celebration of 2019 Magayon Festival.
The Albay Capitol, through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, spearheaded the annual Search for Gayon Lola 2019.
A total of 15 candidates from the different municipalities of Albay showcased their beauty and talents through their amazing performances on stage.
Each contestant, through their festival attire, promoted the annual festival of their cities and municipalities.
Board Member Ralph Andes, as the Chairman on the Senior Citizen and PWD Committee, in his message expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all the senior citizens who came to the venue.
“He also mentioned the various programs and activities proposed to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan to further give assistance to the senior citizens in the whole province of Albay,” the province said.
Governor Al Francis C. Bichara also gave due recognition to the senior citizens, as he lauded their efforts in making Albay what it is today.
At the end of the pageant, Ms. Blesilda T. Imperial of Bacacay, Albay was hailed winner.
