Albay’s Magayon Festival kicks off with free photography seminar

A photography seminar served as one of the highlights of the first day of month-long celebration of Albay’s Magayon Festival.

Albay provincial government said that almost 100 participants joined the annual seminar entitled “Basic Photography for Kids, Teens, and Young at Heart” today.

It was held at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan ng Albay Session Hall at the Albay Capitol.

“Part of the Official Calendar of Events of the Magayon Festival 2019, the free training/seminar is a partnership between the Provincial Government of Albay and the Mayon Photography Club, Inc,” the province said.

The said training covered three topics namely; 1) Basic Photography, exposure triangle, focusing and composition, 2) Relaxing with Photography and Basic Tips, and 3) Know your Camera.

“This seminar is only the beginning of a fun-filled grand opening of this year’s Magayon Festival, the 20th edition,” the province said.

“Later today, Rizal Street will be filled with thousands of onlookers as the opening parade will usher in the start of a month-long celebration of Albay’s culture, arts, food, tourism, and more importantly, its people,” it added.
