Mayor Bongat joins Black Saturday procession


Mayor John Bongat has joined the commemoration of Passion of Christ today amid the scorching heat of the sun.

The Naga City local chief executive attended the Black Saturday procession today in Caramoan.

“IT’S KINDA HOT HERE! Hence, these multi-colored umbrellas to protect us from the heat of the rising sun,” Mayor Bongat said.

“I join the entire Christian world in prayer in commemorating Christ’s death on a sunny Black Saturday, and thank Him for His passion and death to save mankind,” he added.

Mayor Bongat also looks forward to witness the risen Christ during the Easter Sunday.

“And tomorrow, the sun will rise again ushering in a brand new day, as we rejoice in singing Alleluia to our Lord Jesus Christ, as He rises up from the dead,” Mayor Bongat said.

“His resurrection that reminds us all not to lose our faith in Him for our eternal salvation! Advance happy Easter every one,” he added.
