VP Leni turns over kitchen tools to high school students in Romblon
Vice President Leni Robredo spearheaded the turnover of kitchen tools and other equipment to a high school in Romblon recently.
Robredo met with the students of Santa Maria National High School in the town of Santa Maria to deliver the tools.
“Senior high school students under its Home Economics strand used to transfer to other schools just to finish their cooking and baking classes, because their own school did not have the tools for these,” Robredo said.
The turnover of the equipment was under her Angat Buhay program, the anto-poverty flagship program of the Office of the Vice President.
“Many thanks to our #AngatBuhay partner, Masflex-KitchenPro, for answering our call for help once again—and for awarding another set of scholarship grants to the top 2 graduating students, who will be given the chance to study at the renowned Center for Asian Culinary Studies,” the Vice President said.
Robredo said that with the help her office provided, the students will be given an opportunity to achieve a better life.
“I am filled with hope that in helping our students in need, we are laying the groundwork for a better life for their families and for their communities,” she said.
