Albay provincial gov’t begins preparation for Magayon Festival 2019
The Albay Capitol has started its preparation for this year’s Magayon Festival.
The Provincial Tourism, Culture, and Arts Office (PTCAO) is leading the charge for the month-long celebration of the annual Magayon Festival.
“Dorothy F. Colle, Provincial Tourism Officer (PTCAO), promises that this year’s Magayon Festival will offer many of the exciting events that it has been known for and the addition of some new events to look forward to,” the Capitol said.
Colle said that the festival will highlight colorful street presentation, art exhibits, and a concert featuring This Band with special guest the comedian ‘Bobsie’.
“Still present in this year’s calendar of events is the highly touted and esteemed Mutya ng Magayon which has served as a big stepping stone for many Bicolana hopefuls that has set their sights on to the national pageant stage,” the province said.
The Search for Daragang Magayon 2019 Screening of Candidates was held last Saturday, April 6, at the Governor’s Guest House.
“The region wide pageant screening was joined by thirty six (36) aspiring applicants, representing their different provinces, like Albay, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Masbate and Sorsogon,” said the province.
Only 24 candidates were chosen as the official candidates for this year’s Mutya ni Daragang Magayon.
