Business group lauds Mayor Bongat for his contribution in Naga’s business sector
Outgoing Naga City Mayor John Bongat received a plaque of appreciation from the city’s business sector.
The Metro Naga Chamber of Commerce presented the certificate to Bongat last April 5 at the Villa Caceres Hotel in Maga City.
The business group hailed the mayor as a “prime mover of progress and socio-economic development in Naga City and adjoining municipalities of Metro Naga.”
The group also said that Bongat has always been supportive of the projects and programs of the MNCCI.
“His collaborative efforts as a true servant have contributed to the unprecedented economic progress for Naga City,” said the business group.
Meanwhile, Bongat expressed his gratitude to the MNCCI for recognizing his efforts as Naga’s local chief executive.
“This time it’s from the business sector, in so many words. THANK YOU MNCCI ( MetroNaga Chamber), headed by Pres. Ferdinand Sia, for the kind words and the productive partnership you have had with the city government through all these years,” said Bongat.
The mayor will step down from his post on June 30 after serving three consecutive terms.
