Mayor Carlwyn “Awin” Baldo has announced that Daraga’s closed-circuit television (CCTVs) cameras located in strategic areas are now fully operational.
Mayor Baldo said that majority of the CCTVs are located within Daraga’s commercial district.
“25 CCTV cameras located at Daraga commercial district, 16 CCTV cameras inside Daraga Public Market and other strategic locations,” the Mayor said.
The staff manning the command center said underwent training and orientation, said Baldo.
“Moreover, the orientation of the staff who were assigned to regularly monitor the surveillance of these devices is already done,” he said.
“This is to ensure that we will be able to render immediate response whenever unwanted occurrences happen,” he added.
Meanwhile, Baldo recently spearheaded the regular monthly meeting of the Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC).
“Presentation of CADAC/MADAC reports, submission of project proposal, resolution for the formulation of the Technical Working Group (TWG), and other matters were discussed,” Baldo said.
The mayor vowed that Daraga, together with the Department of Interior and local Government (DILG), is “determined to eliminate one of the country’s critical adversity for the promotion of the general welfare of the people.”
