A big loss! Naga City Mayor Bongat mourns sudden passing of Brgy. Tabuco chairman

Naga City Mayor John Bongat said that the entire city government mourns the sudden demise of Brgy. Tabuco Captain Marcelo “Celoy” Bagadiong.

Bongat said that Bagadiong was a “dedicated public servant” and a “model family man.”

“The City of Naga and Brgy Tabuco mourn the sudden passing this afternoon of a dedicated public servant in Punong Brgy. Marcelo “Celoy” Bagadiong, due to massive stroke,” Mayor Bongat said.

“On behalf of my family and the people of Naga, I would like to extend my deep sympathies and condolences to his bereaved family and relatives,” he added.

The punong barangay is survived by his wife, Sonia Santiago Bagadiong and children, Emmylou, Jackielou, Jason and Jefferson, all former City Youth Officials.

“Till his death, Cap Celoy was a model family man, raising all of their 4 children through college and to successful careers, and had served his constituents well through almost 3 decades of dedicated public service since the 1990s,” said Bongat.

“Cap Celoy was a consistent topnotcher Brgy Kagawad before becoming the El Capitan of the home barangay of Naga’s illustrious Mayor Jesse M. Robredo in 2016,” the mayor added.

Bongat sais that Bagadiong is a big loss for the entire city of Naga.

“A big loss, indeed, not only to Tabuco but to the entire city as well. Cap Celoy, while you will be sorely missed, we offer our fervent prayers for your eternal rest in peace with God,” he said.
