Daraga to hold baragay level disaster management training

Daraga Mayor Carlwyn “Awin” Baldo has announced that the city government will hold a barangay-level disaster and information system training.

According to the mayor, the training aims to prepare barangays — the frontline of government service — in times of distaster.

“In order to strengthen disaster preparedness at the Barangay level, LGU – Daraga & Daraga Mdrrmo will be conducting a Barangay Disaster & Information System Training on March 20, 21, and 22, 2019, at the Cagsawa Function Hall, Brgy. Busay, Daraga, Albay,” Baldo said.

“One of the objectives of this training is to enable and promote pro-active disaster risk management system in our Municipality with the involvement of our Barangay officials and members for the benefit of all,” he added.

Mayor Baldo announced that the 42 barangays of Daraga will join the training starting today.

The barangays include the following:

Alcala, Alobo, Anislag, Balinad, Bañadero, Bascaran, Bigao, Bongalon, Budiao, Burgos, Busay, Canarom, Cullat, De La Paz, Dinoronan, Gabawan, Ibaugan, Inarado, Kidaco, Kilicao, Kimantong, Kinawitan, Kiwalo, Lacag, Mabini, Malabog, Malobago, Maopi, Matnog, Mayon, Mi-isi, Nabasan, Namantao, Pandan, Salvacion, San Rafael, San Ramon, San Roque, San Vicente Grande, San Vicente Pequeño, Talahib, and Villahermosa.
