Amid everything that has happened to him, Mayor Carlwyn “Awin” Baldo has found something to be grateful for as Daraga passed the Good Financial Housekeeping of the Interior department.

Daraga was one of the five local government units that passes the Good Financial Housekeeping of the DILG.

“I am proud to announce that our Municipality passed the evaluation on Good Financial Housekeeping conducted by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG),” Mayor Baldo said.

“This is a project of DILG that aims to recognize LGUs with good performance in internal financial housekeeping including customer service, development planning, resource allocation and utilization, and more,” he said.

Baldo credited the “collective effort” of Daraga in bagging the recognition from the Interior and Local department.

“Through LGU-Daraga’s collaborative effort, we were given by DILG of this prestigious award,” he said.

Aside from Daraga, other Albay LGUs in the list are Camalig, Libon, Malinao, and Pio Duran.
