Sen. Escudero inspects construction of Sorsogon Sports Complex


Outgoing Senator and now Sorsogon gubernatorial bet Francis “Chiz” Escudero has inspected the ongoing construction of Sorsogon Sports Complex.

“Gubernatorial candidate Chiz Escudero inspected the ongoing construction of the seven-hectare Sorsogon Sports Complex,” Escudero’s office said.

The said sports complex will house the following:
a) the new Sorsogon DepEd building
b) the Sorsogon DepEd Gymnasium
c) the 29-meter high Sorsogon Coliseum patterned after the Colosseum in Rome d) the Sorsogon Sports Coliseum Oval, and
e) lodging amenities for athletes and technical officials.

Meanwhile, Escudero also held a forum with various barangay leaders in Sorsogon.

“Team Sorsogon First, led by gubernatorial candidate Chiz Escudero, held a forum with the barangay leaders of the municipalities of Bulan (Barangays Zone VII, Zone VIII, Fabrica, G. Del Pilar), Gubat (Barangays Balur Del Norte, Luna Candor, Panganiban, Bulacao), and Juban (Barangays Tughan, Aroroy, Buraburan),” his office said.

“His running-mate vice gubernatorial candidate Atty. Wowo Fortes and their second district Sangguniang Panlalawigan slate composed of Arze Glipo, Recto Valeriano, Johnny Guysayko, and Roland Añonuevo laid out their plans and platforms for Sorsogon,” it added.

Escudero is currently serving his last term as Senator.
