Albay Gov. Bichara continues to bring free medical, dental services to far areas
Albay Governor Al Francis Bichara continued to tour around the province to bring free medical, dental, and optical services to Albayanos.
This time, the father of the province has led the mission at the Brgy. Magpanambo Covered Court last Feb. 19, which catered to the residents of 13 barangays from the Rinconada Area Development Council (RADC).
“Inclined to his strong advocacy to deliver quality social and medical services to the barangays who need it the most, his free medical aid continues as he distributes thirty (30) wheelchairs and twenty (20) walking sticks to people with disability (PWD) specially to those who were living in the remote areas in Albay,” the province said.
“The optical mission on the other hand, catered to lots of patients utilizing high-end laboratory equipment provided through the governance of Gov. Bichara. Free eyeglasses were distributed thereupon,” it added.
Ms. Eva Grageda from the PSWDO said that the purpose of the event is to bring the services closer to the people, specially those who live in far areas.
Bichara, meanwhile, acknowledged the presence and the assistance of the doctors during the mission.
The governor also touted the “comprehensive medical care system” in the province as well as the ongoing construction of a new Provincial Hospital in Ligao City.
“You don’t have to go to Legazpi City anymore, we are building a world-class hospital for you that is even better than most private hospitals in the province, we are investing in high quality equipment because we want to focus more in quality rather than just compliance,” Bichara quipped.
