Daraga Mayor Carlwyn “Awin” Baldo has spearheaded the regular execom meeting yesterday where they dicussed various topics including the fire prevention month and measles outbreak.

The embattled mayor said that he’ll throw his support to the launching of fire prevention month this March.

“For the safety of the Daragueño constituency, I have promised support to the launching of the Fire Prevention Month this March 1, 2019, at Daraga covered court. This is to further promote awareness with regards to fire-prevention and management,” the mayor said.

Baldo likewise said that measles vaccination drive is being intensified amid tigdas outbreak in the country.

“Also, the intensified immunization measles campaign is on-going and we are happy to announce that we have zero casualty here in Daraga,” he said

Meanwhile, Baldo said that to the request of the affected ambulant vendors, he’s bringing back the Night Market to its original schedule, 4:00 pm onwards, “so that our vendors will have more time to sell their products and goods.”

The mayor also directed the MSWDO to release the Beneficiary Social pension for the indigent senior citizens on a monthly basis so that their daily needs will be covered.

“On traffic management, we will be adding more personnel for PSO. Accordingly, I have directed PSO Chief Reny Portillo to focus on the current traffic situation at Brgy. Binitayan, Daraga, Albay. I have called for an urgent meeting with the contractor and the Provincial Engineer’s Office on how to ease the traffic at the said area,” Baldo said.

“To our job-seekers, the Office of Student Affairs of Bicol College, in partnership with PESO-Daraga, will be conducting a Job Fair, this February 28, 2019, at Bicol College gymnasium. Kindly bring your requirements and coordinate with the concerned offices for additional information,” he added.
