Albay Gov. Bichara’s tip on governance: Know what your constituents need
Multi awarded and veteran public servant Albay Governor Al Francis Bichara has provided an unsolicited tip on governance: Know what your constituents need.
Bichara said that if a public official knows what his people need, then he can then create a master plan to help them.
“If you know what your constituents need, it is only then you can even take a challenge of developing a master plan for the entire province,” Bichara said.
Bichara also said that it is important to acknowledge the problem to properly create strategies to solve it.
“Acknowledging that there is a problem is the first step. Next is to identify and analyze it properly so we can come up with sound strategies and proper interventions using accurate data,” Bichara noted.
Bichara is currently serving his fresh first term as Governor of Albay province.
He also served as Congressman of the 2nd district of Albay for three terms from 2007 to 2016.
Bichara was governor of the same province from 1995 to 2004.
