VP Robredo visits TD Usman-hit families in Albay, CamSur

Vice President Leni Robredo has visited the families affected by the wrath of tropical depression Usman in Camarines Sur and Albay.

Robredo met with some of the affected families in Sagñay in Camarines and Sur and Tiwi town in Albay last February 2.

The Vice President said that her visit was part of the efforts of her office to assist the families affected by TD Usman.

“Met with some of the families affected by #UsmanPH in Sagñay, Camarines Sur and Tiwi, Albay, as part of our office’s efforts to assist communities still reeling from the flooding and landslides late last year,” Robredo said.

“Our office and our #AngatBuhay partners are committed to support our fellow Filipinos in need, especially as they start over,” she added.

Albay and Camarines Sure were placed under the state of calamity when TD Usman brought heavy rains that caused flooding and landslides incidents in Bicol Region late last year to early January.

Meanwhile, Robredo also watched a play called “Duyan” featuring the students of Bicol University’s College of Arts and Letters for bringing its insightful play, “Duyan.”

“Its talented freshman AB Performing Arts students played their roles so well, in a story that tackles issues like illegal logging, loss of livelihood, and drug abuse—concerns that continue to affect us these days,” said the Vice President.

“Hoping that more people will get to see their show, and learn more about these important issues,” she added.
