Catanduanes Rep. Cesar Sarmiento takes up the cudgels for motorcycles as PUVs
With traffic congestion getting worse, many commuters have taken to hailing motorcycles to get them to their destination.
However, this is illegal for now.
But Catanduanes Rep. Cesar Sarmiento is doing something about it. In a Facebook post, Sarmiento is proposing a measure to make this legal through the amendment of the Land Traffic and Transportation Code.
As chair of the transportation committee, he is in a good position to push for its approval. It has already hurdled second reading and is on its way to third reading approval.
Will we soon see more motorcycles on the streets for stranded commuters?
“Your working Congressman!
-CS,” Sarmiento posted on Facebook.
