CamSur bags award for its ‘exemplary’ efforts in fighting illegal drug menace
The Province of Camarines Sur has bagged an award from the Department of Interior and Local Government for its effective campaign against illegal drugs.
CamSur was named “Ideal” province by the National Anti-Drug Abuse Council of the DILG for its “exemplary efforts” in curtailing drug menace.
Governor Miguel Villafuerte said that he felt honored that CamSur received the said recognition.
“True to our commitment to fight illegal drugs in Camsur, we are honored to be one of the few provinces awarded by the national government,” Villafuerte said.
“Shout out and congrats as well to Camsur PNP & former PD Gerry Bearis and PDEA Region V headed by Dir. Christian Frivaldo,” he said.
Villafuerte dedicated the award to all the people of Camarines Sur.
“This award is ours,” he said.
