Calapan VM Ramirez delivers city council’s accomplishment report

Calapan City Vice Mayor Gil Ramirez delivered a report containing the accomplishments Sangguniang Panglungsod under his helm.

Ramirez, as vice mayor, serves as the presiding officer of the Sangguniang Panglungsod.

“Nakapagtala ang Sangguniang Panlungsod ng Calapan ng 39 naaprubahang City Ordinance, 2,695 approved resolutions, 1,025 referrals, 152 committee reports, 19 public hearings, 180 committee hearings, 42 committee meetings, 3 consultation meetings, 4 special meetings at 2 budget hearings,” the city government said.

“Maliban dito ay gumanap rin at naging matagumpay ang nasabing Vice Mayor para sa iba pang mahahalagang programa na malaking naging tulong sa buong mamamayan ng Lungsod, kabilang na rito ang pagiging Chairman ng Calapan City Blood Council kung saan ay nagawaran ng anim na pagkilala buhat sa Pamahalaang Panlalawigan.

At bilang Inhenyero Sibil si Vice Mayor Ramirez at dating Chairman ng Task Force Mag-asawang Tubig Flood Mitigation Project ng lalawigan ay maagap nitong naisakatuparan ang pagsasaayos ng mga dike sa Lungsod ng Calapan sa tulong at pakikipag-ugnayan nito sa mga konsernadong ahensya ng pamahalaang nasyunal at probinsyal,” it added.

He also mentioned his “life and property saving advocacies” such as the strengthening of dikes.

“Sa panahon ng kasalukuyang Vice Mayor Ramirez ay matagumpay rin ang pagkakaroon ng inilunsad nitong programang “Ang Mananabas ni Mayor at ni Vice”, isang grupong binuo ng nasabing Bise Alkalde na nagtutungo sa mga barangay upang magsagawa ng cleaning and clearing operations,” the city said.

Ramirez also touted his initiative to bolster the fisheries sector through the establishment of Hanay ng mga Yumayabong na Mangingisda or HAYUMA sa

He also thanked SP Sec. Atty. Harvey Ecker A. Zamora and former ABC Pres. Hector E. Africa.

Meanwhile, Ramirez also said that the city government will continue to work hard to achieve their vision of “One Calapan” as well as “Metro Calapan 2016: Mimaropa’s premier center of investments and agro-industry.”
