P127M district hospital in Rizal, Palawan opens
The P127-million Dr. Jose Rizal District Hospital in Rizal town in Palawan has officially begun its operations last January 21.
The said hospital, located in Barangay Punta Baja, was funded by the Department of Health and the Palawan provincial government under its Health Facilities Enhancement Program.
The Rizal town, meanwhile, has donated 4 hectares for the hospital.
Among the facilities include Isolation Building, Material Recovery Facility Building, Mortuary, Power House Building/Motorpool, and Elevated Water Tank.
Vice Governor Dennis Socrates said that the hospital is intended for the indigent Palaweños, members of the indigenous community as well as the senior citizens.
